It's all about who you know
You can search the want adds and scour the Internet but one of the most effective ways to find a job is networking. Ask, and a majority of people will say that they got their job by knowing someone. So you may ask, " How do you network?" I have once again decided to link you to some site that can help.
From LDS.org
Effective Networking Networking is the most effective way to find a job; approximately 70 percent of all jobs are found this way.
The RileyGuide also had some great ideas and a great explanation of networking online as well as through friends, and associates.

One of the best books I've ever read on networking is Referral of a Lifetime: The Networking System that Produces Bottom-Line Results...Every Day! by Tim Templeton. Check out the summary here http://www.blanchardlearning.com/templates/product.asp?product=16701 . Yes, it does talk about cold calling and building a business. BUT, the princples taught in the book are essential to building relationships within your network. I have referred it to several people and Jonathan has told all of the real estate professionals he works with to read it as well. It has made a big difference in how we view networking. It's a fast read but worth reading over and over again.
